Legal Stuff

This is a summary of the legal language below:

Use soap and bath teas for what they are intended.  Use them to bathe in or wash the outside of your body.
Don't eat the soap, even if it smells yummy. Don't let your children eat the soap or stick it where it doesn't belong.  Use the soap within recommended time periods.  If you have known allergies or sensitivity to certain ingredients, it is up to you, the consumer, to check the ingredients list.

Soap products do not qualify as cosmetics and are not required to meet labeling laws, however we list our ingredients online.  It is up to the consumer to read the label.  The package label will be abbreviated, listing "natural goat milk soap" for example. The consumer can check what is in the soap by checking online.

Essential oils can cause reactions in a minority of people.  If, for example, you are allergic to oranges, don't buy or use a product that has orange essential oil on the ingredient list.  This won't be an issue in most cases as no product has more than 1% volume of essential oils.

The essential oil blends named Calming, Sensual, etc. are just names.  We do not claim any benefits from using these products.  There is limited scientific study of the benefits of essential oils, however there are some scholarly articles and studies online.  A few are listed at the bottom of this page.

Capricorn Soap and Bath is not legally responsible for misuse of our products or any skin reactions.
If by remote chance the soap irritates your skin, stop using it.

If you are not satisfied with the product, ship the unused soap back to us.  There is a 25% re-stocking fee.
We will then refund to your credit or debit card.

Capricorn Soap and Bath makes every effort to produce the products using the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.  Labeling is not required on soap products, but every ingredient is included online.  All raw materials are tested and FDA approved, however the final soap and bath tea products have not been tested in an independent laboratory. Products are tested for ph levels to insure mildness and safety.

Weights of the soaps are approximate. There will be variations in the weight of the soaps.  With the exception of molded soaps, the soaps are hand cut and trimmed.  Some bars are beveled ( hand-cut) and this takes a small amount of weight from the bar.

We only ship to the United States and Territories.  We use USPS Priority Shipping.
